Fitness Island Kids
A tropical adventure awaits your child at Fitness Island. Riverside Health Fitness Center’s child care and activity center.
Our goal is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children, that emphasizes learning, fitness and fun. With a tropical themed environment and a continuously changing schedule of activities, your child will experience the fun of the islands!
Fitness Island Rules:
Use of Fitness Island requires one or more parent to be an active member at Riverside Health Fitness Center. Fitness Island can be utilized by paying an hourly fee or by purchasing a Paradise Pass membership for your child(ren).
All children, from 8 weeks to 13 years of age, are welcome.
Paradise Pass includes:
- Lullaby Room (crib room for infants)
- The Submarine (TV/movie theatre)
- Craft Cove (arts and crafts room)
- Destination Imagination (library/book room)
- Tiki Hut (gift shop)
- Island Area
- Tropical Games (gaming bikes, dance dance revolution, hot shots basketball, ESPN Zone football, gymnastics, etc.)
Additional Programs
Fitness Island offers numerous programs that are available at an additional fee. Too comprehensive to list in its entirety, the following is a sampling of some activities:

After School Program
A fun, safe and stimulating environment for your children after school.
Riverside Health Fitness Center offers an After School Program for children ages 5-13 attending the Bourbonnais School District. Children are bused to the fitness center and attend Fitness Island from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. The program is available both on a weekly and daily basis to meet your needs. You do not have to be a member to take advantage of this program.
Weekly activities include: Rock Climbing Wall, Swimming, Home Work Assistance, DDR, ESPN Zone Football, Hot Shots Basketball, Game Bikes, Gymnastics, Games and Crafts.
